This important piece of equipment can mean the difference between life and death, as following a cardiac arrest the chance of survival decreases by 23% per minute. It is therefore very important medical treatment starts as soon as possible. The UK Resuscitation Council suggests a defibrillator should be available wherever medical treatment is more than 5 minutes away. In practical terms this means the whole of the UK; of course we would much rather it never had to be used!

W.Bro. Alan Clark Charity Steward from Padley Lodge said: “We support our local community whenever possible, and this donation will contribute towards the cost of a Defibrillator for the community of Sheldon.
