As we all know, the Coronavirus emergency has placed severe restrictions upon our lives in order to ensure that the NHS is able to cope with the anticipated number of very poorly people.
Everyone must play their part in this emergency, and that means that we must regretfully announce that Sheldon should be considered closed to visitors and tourists.
The village has rallied around to support each other, and to ensure that the most vulnerable are shielded and able to access essential services.
Derbyshire Police are patrolling the area to ensure that restrictions on travel are being adhered to, and that access to the National Park is limited to those who either live or work (in an essential role) here.
Whilst we normally welcome visitors and tourists with open arms, anyone that is found to be disobeying the above regulations will be reported to Derbyshire Police for action.
