We’ve received notice from Derbyshire County Council that there will be tree felling work happening on Kirk Dale between the 19th and the 21st of August this year. Please note that the Council thinks that this road is called “Trueblue Lane” and that it is in Ashford in the Water! The above map shows the location of the actual road closure with an orange arrow.

Whilst the work is ongoing, alternative routes into the village will need to be used:

• Coming from Bakewell, take the B5055 to Monyash, then the Flagg/Chelmorton Road.
• Coming from Buxton, take The Jarnett through Taddington or the Flagg/Chelmorton Road.
