The Chair of the Parish Meeting writes…
Sheldon Parish Meeting consists of residents of Sheldon Village who are on the electoral role, and whose primary residence is within the village. The purpose of the Parish Meeting is to discuss parish affairs and exercise any statutory functions conferred on the meeting.
We are an extremely active Parish Meeting for such a small community of only 80 residents. We meet every two months, with our Annual General Meeting held in April. The Parish Meeting has a Chair, Deputy-Chair, Secretary and Finance Officer, and all roles are undertaken on a voluntary basis; we have no paid Clerk.
